We brought our young family here in 2006, when the winemaking region was in its infancy. We planted vineyards, built our home and made wines, and a life, that we love.
“Newstead Lund Family Vineyards is where we have made the wine and life that we love”
Newstead has been described as the best kept secret inside the South African wine industry’s best kept secret.Visit us in the Plettenberg Bay Winelands to taste, buy, explore or linger.
We became the first producer outside of the traditional Western Cape winelands to be crowned overall winner of the Amorim Cap Classique Challenge, South Africa’s leading competition focussed exclusively on the country’s top Cap Classique sparkling wines. Newstead MCC Blanc de Blanc 2015 took a Double Gold Medal and Trophy for Best Blanc de Blanc, and was named the Top Scoring Cap Classique for 2020
“It is wonderful to be part of the Cap Classique association”
With a climate and geography comparable to New Zealand, and the care we take to nurture each vine, our vineyards produce some of the most unblemished grapes a farmer is likely to see.
